This show lands right in the middle of ACL Fest Weekend Two. If a smaller room and no festival lines sound better than the Zilker Park crowds that weekend, this is the alternative!
Kevin Metzger and R. Aaron Walters bring Live New Worlds home to the room it was recorded in. The album was tracked live over two nights in October 2025 at How Much?! Studios in Austin. This show marks its release, the night after the record drops, in the same space, with the material opened up to full band arrangements.
Metzger/Walters Texas Quintet headlines, featuring Jared Davis (Atonal Guitar Duo), Jeremy Howell (Blue Tongue), and Charlie Kessenich (Simitree), performing originals and prompted improvisations from the record. Support comes from Big Sky Collective, an orchestral prog ensemble, and Shelby Dems, a classically trained violinist and singer-songwriter performing solo on guitar and violin. Shelby also plays violin on the album's "Variations on a Theme by J/Mo."
Doors at 6:30pm. Music starts at 7:00.
